EXPECTATIONS

Every student is unique, they will be given tailored and innovative lessons with suitable pace for their growth in music knowledge and piano technique. Apart from teaching, guidance will be given to students for fun and efficient practice. Supportive parents and friends will definitely be the greatest encouragement for students.

MATERIALS

All-in-one Course and Famous and Fun Classics by Alfred is the major piano books that I would recommend for beginners. Studies, scales and arpeggios will be introduced to strengthen students' technique. Supplementary pieces will also be introduced to students. Variety of interactive games on the basics, interesting stories of music composers and instruments to raise the interest of beginners. Piano exam syllabus maybe introduced as well.

INSTRUMENT

Boston conservatory grand piano is in used for lessons at studio. Countless beneficial impacts on students with playing on an instrument of the performing stage. All students must have access to an acoustic piano or digital piano (with 88 weighted keys) for practice. Smaller keyboard would work for beginners in their first year, yet not very recommended. I would love to assist students in searching for their affordable piano if needed.

ONLINE LESSONS

Online lessons are at the same rate as at studio. I am using Google Meet for all online lessons. A suggested setting will be given to students, two devices with Google Meet installed and a tripod or stand to secure one of the devices with camera facing the keyboard of your piano. An access code for lesson will be given about 10 mins prior the scheduled lesson time. Online lesson is not suggested for students below 8 years old.
